Safeguarding

Our Commitment

ReBorne is committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of children and vulnerable adults and ensuring their well-being within our Church community. We recognise the need to provide a safe and caring environment for children, young people and adults.

We are committed to the implementation of our safeguarding policy and procedures developed in association with Thirtyone Eight and in line with relevant statutory legislation and guidelines for the well-being and welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We Recognise

  • Dorset and Somerset Social Services have lead responsibility for investigating all allegations or suspicions of abuse where there are concerns about a child

  • Where an allegation suggests that a criminal offence may have been committed then the police should be contacted as a matter of urgency

  • Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility
